Sara Sousa, alumna of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), was honored with a Portuguese Young Chemists Award for her research work conducted during her PhD in Sustainable Chemistry. 

This award, presented every two years by the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ), aims to promote excellence in chemistry developed by young researchers, highlighting projects positively impacting society. It is given to recent PhD graduates under the age of 35, in recognition of their work during their doctoral studies. 

Sara completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering at ISEP and pursued her PhD within the Chemical Reactions and Analysis Group (GRAQ). 

This recognition underscores the high-quality research carried out at ISEP and reinforces the institution’s commitment to training highly qualified professionals dedicated to scientific innovation.
