Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) received, from September 22 to October 3, the visit of Professor José Roberto Finzer, PhD, a renowned Professor of Uniube University, in Uberaba, Brazil. 

In the visit, carried out in the context of an internationalization process, Professor Finzer collaborated with the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Industrial Technology (CIETI) of ISEP, teaching curricular units of the degree and master degree in Chemical Engineering, with several topics, namely “Sugar processing and alcohol production”, “Absorption in filling columns”, and “Crystallization in Chemical Industry”. 

According to Professor Finzer, this cooperation between ISEP and UNIUBE serves as a catalyst for discussing advances in science and technology, connecting professionals from various areas to generate new ideas for society’s benefit, especially in international activities. 

The Professor said that “ISEP, in Chemical Engineering, and other segments, is one of the major international educational and research institutions.” 

In addition to teaching the theoretical classes, Professor José Roberto Finzer developed experimental work over these two weeks at the Technology Laboratory of ISEP. The experiments are aimed at the publication of scientific articles. 

In the words of the Professor, “The experience between the two international institutions was a milestone in my career as a teacher and researcher. The exchange of knowledge with teachers and collaborators of ISEP was gratifying and efficient, which enabled the acquisition of knowledge to support my teaching and research studies.”.
