The Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM) of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) hosted, from 5 to 11 October, five professors from the Adil Karaagac Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, in Turkey, under the Erasmus+ K122 Vocational Training action. 

This mobility, dedicated to the theme “Lean Vocational Education”, allowed participants to follow ISEP’s educational and training practices, exploring the use of Lean tools in academic contexts, the definition of learning goals aligned with Lean philosophy, the observation of active teaching methods in the classroom, the study of successful cases in Lean Education, and examples of the application of Lean Manufacturing and digitalization in training. 

Sharing experiences on how to apply and teach Lean Philosophy fostered a collaborative learning environment. Hosted by DEM, this initiative strengthened international cooperation and encouraged the dissemination of good practice in vocational education, focusing on the efficiency and quality of learning.
